Third in the series, in this video comrade Hanan Mollah discusses the Tebhaga movement; one of the greatest peasant movements in the history of India. A movement of sharecroppers of Bengal demanding two-thirds instead of half of their their produce. Basically, from this principle demand the name ‘Tebhaga’ comes. The small peasants also joined hands with the sharecroppers as the gambit of demands increased. Gradually, with the intensification of the movement the charter of demands even touched the revolutionary idea of ‘land to tiller’ concept.
